Overview
imageThe UbiSurfer is the latest portable NetBook by the people who brought you the Pocket Surfer. This device truly is the next great leap in technology - complete functionality of a laptop with the "go anywhere" internet connection that made its predecessor so popular. The integrated sim-card provides you with a free GPRS internet connection, but if you're close to a wireless network all you need to do is ride the airwaves and explore the internet at your leisure in True color on its 7 inch TFT LCD screen. You are able to do so much with this little beauty that it's very likely we're going to run out of space. Here goes: it has a highly secure Linux operating system which hosts a word processing program, a spreadsheet program, a paint brush program, a media player, a sound recorder, it's flash enabled, you can use instant messaging programs, check your emails, (if you've read this far, you should probably buy it) read PDF files, arrange your life with the inbuilt calendar, read E-Books and once you're done with all that you can install more programs from a USB flash drive. All of this requires a significant amount of power, but with 128MB of ram, 1GB of flash memory which can be expanded using an SD card or by plugging an external hard drive into one of 3 USB expansion ports. With this baby stuffed in your backpack you'll be ready to go wherever you are.
